In this Small Formats series, the artist uses a lighter brushwork and a realist style, since it represents scenes and scapes of her environment. During her daily strolls around her neighbourhood, she sketches the people and architecture that populate it, then makes small paintings that she enjoys working on and to present you, without ever thinking of exhibiting them.
The softness and peace radiating from the small paintings reflect the state of mind of the artist who refuses to see and to express, via her artist's eye, the modern aberrations of daily urban life, such as the speeding traffic, the numerous street signs, the aggressive commercial neon lights but chooses instead more congenial compositions wherein the human being can evolve in harmony with his surroundings.
